History
The Red Bridge (Tsiteli Khidi, Qırmızı Körpü) carries the Tbilisi-Ganja road over the Khrami. The brick bridge seen today is mostly of the 17th century, on the site of a 12th-century crossing, and a caravanserai stood by it.
Whoever held the bridge held the road between Kartli and the khanates to the east.
