History
Raindi (რაინდი) is the Georgian word for a knight: a noble warrior bound by an ideal of honour and loyalty. Shota Rustaveli's 12th-century epic The Knight in the Panther's Skin made that ideal the model of Georgian chivalry.
Tusheti and Kakheti were joined by mountain paths over the Abano pass, open only in summer, and help from the lowlands came that way. These riders are a game choice: they stand for the Kakhetian nobles who came to the highlanders' aid, not a recorded unit.
